PRINTING & PACKAGING
My prints are printed in my studio in Queensland, Australia, using high-quality archival inks. These stunning prints are vibrant and sharp, and if looked after properly, they will not fade for over a hundred years.
The paper I use is Hahnemühle German Etching, which has a weight of 310gsm. Its unique surface texture adds a very special touch to images, showcasing them in all their splendour with impressive three-dimensional effect and depth.
Each print is embossed with my logo to demonstrate authenticity and uniqueness and is signed and dated on the front. Prints are sold unframed. Print colours may vary from your screen due to differences in screen calibrations.
Medium and small prints will be packaged in a cellophane slip and mailed in a hardback flat envelope for protection. A3 medium and A4 small prints will come with a backing board if this option is selected on the product page. This is because backing boards protect the print for display, but they are often disposed of when the customer decides to frame the print. As an eco-conscious business, I prefer to offer customers the choice to avoid unnecessary waste. A2 large prints come rolled in a mailing tube.
All prints and mugs are packaged in my bespoke tissue paper. I try to use recyclable packaging materials and non-recyclable or plastic materials only when essential.
PRODUCT CARE
Please take note of the following care instructions to ensure the longevity of your Stick Figure Fish Illustration Fine Art Print:
- Stick Figure Fish Illustration Fine Art Prints are acid-free, archival-quality prints and will last a lifetime if cared for properly. The same advice applies to any original paintings.
- Fine Art Prints do not like direct sun, moisture (humidity), dust, dirt, or acid. So please do not hang them in direct sun or in a bathroom. They must also be framed with protective glazing (glass or acrylic barrier) to protect them from dust, moisture, and acid.
- To ensure your print’s longevity, it is highly recommended to have it professionally framed using UV-protective glazing and acid-free, archival-quality framing materials.
- If you plan on framing your print yourself, please note the following:
- Never touch the surface of your print. Your fingers will leave residue on the printed surface that will, over time, discolour and damage your print.
- When handling your print, wash your hands thoroughly first, and touch only the very edges of the print.
- Cheap frames are made from cheap materials and are not acid-free. Over time, the acid in your frame (including MDF backing board and cheap mount boards) will damage and discolour your print.
- Use only 100% acid-free mounting and matting materials.
