This scientifically accurate rendering of the King George Whiting, Sillaginodes punctatus, brings the vibrant beauty of Southern Australia’s coastal waters into your home. With silver scales that shimmer like moonlight on the sea and a flash of golden fin, this fish illustration captures the creature’s grace and power. Measuring 18 inches in length, this large carnivorous fish cuts a striking figure. Originally hand-painted with unparalleled skill to create a hyper-realistic effect, every detail of the King George Whiting has been painstakingly captured, from its pointed snout to its tapered tail. An elegant addition to any room, this museum-quality art print allows you to experience the wonders of nature through a stylized depiction of one of Western Australia’s most iconic fish. Like a seaside sunset, the colours are at once bold and nuanced. Place it in your living room, office or study, and be transported to the pristine beaches and azure waters of Australia with just a glance.

BACKING BOARDS. Backing boards are provided upon request for small and medium prints. They are not really required if you are going to frame your print soon and will end up going in the rubbish. As a small business owner who is concious about my environmental impact I like to provide this as an option. Small and meduim prints are sent flat in rigid mailers and large prints are sent rolled. If you specifically would like to buy a large print with a backing board I can arrange this. It just might cost a little extra in postage. :)
