Include a backing board?

To reduce waste, prints are shipped without backing boards by default. • A4 and A3 prints: Backing board available on request at no extra charge. • A2 prints: Shipped rolled. A backing board can be arranged with an additional postage charge; please mention this in your order notes if required.

  • If you plan to frame your print straight away, you may prefer to skip the backing board. This reduces packaging waste, as the board would often be discarded soon after arrival.
  • If you do not intend to frame your print immediately, choosing a backing board will help keep it flat and protected. The archival white boards are FSC certified and 100% recyclable.

Product Features

These fine art prints feature highly detailed, research-grade illustrations by Dr Lindsay Marshall, created to balance scientific accuracy with the feel of traditional natural history artwork. Printed in-studio on heavyweight archival paper with pigment inks, they are designed to be framed and enjoyed for decades. Available in multiple sizes to suit home, office, and gallery walls, each print is individually checked for colour and detail before being signed and prepared for shipping.

Product Materials

310gsm Hahnemühle German Etching mould-made alpha-cellulose paper, acid- and lignin-free to ISO 9706 archival standards, printed with UltraChrome Pro10 archival pigment inks in Dr Lindsay Marshall’s studio.

Product Care

This fine art print is produced on archival cotton rag paper with museum-quality inks; for best longevity keep it out of direct sunlight, avoid humidity, and frame with acid-free materials and UV-protective glazing, handling only by the edges with clean, dry hands.

Packaging and Finishing

Each fine art print is placed in a crystal-clear archival sleeve to protect the surface. Where requested, an archival white backing board can be included to keep the print flat during storage; these boards are FSC certified and 100% recyclable. Every print is signed by Dr Lindsay Marshall and embossed with her logo for authenticity, then wrapped in custom tissue paper and shipped in a rigid mailer or tube (for larger sizes) to ensure it arrives flat and undamaged.

I created this piece for the shark obsessed, the kids who can name every species in the ocean and the parents who want something that actually looks beautiful on the living room wall.
This A2 print is a deep dive into seventeen of the most incredible sharks on the planet. I’ve included the heavy hitters like the Great White and Bull Shark, but I also wanted to shine a light (pardon the pun) on the weird and wonderful ones, like the deep-sea Viper Dogfish and the tiny Pygmy Shark.
It’s part field guide, part checklist, part fine art. I’ve inscribed each illustration with its scientific name and the historical authority (who first described it and the year it was described), so it’s as educational as it is easy on the eyes.

The Paper: I use Hahnemühle German Etching paper. It’s a heavyweight, archival-grade paper with a gorgeous velvety texture that gives the print a real sense of depth.
The Ink: Printed with Epson UltraChrome inks, meaning the blacks are rich and the fine lines won't fade over time.
The Size: A2 (420 x 594 mm / 16.5 x 23.4 in). It’s a standard size, so finding a frame is easy.
